Caring with Confidence

Police and Crime Meeting

We recently wrote to David Lloyd, Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire and expressed our concerns about the closure of many police stations in the area. We have now received a response and have been informed that Commissioner Lloyd will be giving a presentation and holding a Q&A session at 8pm on Tuesday 3rd December at Baldock Town Hall. Tickets can be purchased for free from Baldock Community Centre.

Staying Safe at Home (April 2012)

The NH50 Plus Group held their April Forum at Royston Town Hall on Thursday 19th April.  The theme was Staying Safe at Home and PCSOs Penny Tomsett and Chris Farrier came along to provide advice for the audience on how to protect themselves and their homes from crime.  They also answered questions and demonstrated a number of crime prevention products.  The event was well attended and feedback showed that everyone found it very useful.

Keeping Well in Retirement

There is a new group starting on Monday 30th January at the Mrs Howard Memorial Hall in Letchworth. This is an 8-week group from 13:30-15:30. It’s based on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) principles, but with a holistic approach where they will teach people ways in which to understand and manage their low mood and/or anxiety.
